Setting rates for Counter-Strike 1.6

Rate – the maximum number of bytes per second of time that the server sends to the client, even with the loss (loss) of the packet. This value affects the ping in cs, you can experiment with different values for the delay that is most convenient for you.

Cl_rate – the maximum limit per second of bytes that your client has the ability to send to the game server.

Cl_cmdrate – is a certain number per second that informs the server about our client's actions. To avoid artificial interference on the line we can create for ourselves, the value of Cl_cmdrate should be approximately equal to the value of Cl_updaterate.

Cl_updaterate – it is also a number for one second of time that informs our client about what is happening on the server. The more updates we receive, the better we get an idea of what's going on.

Today we can certainly assume that every resident of the European Union, as well as the USA, Africa and Asia, does not have a low internet speed for cs 1.6 at home, but a data transfer fast enough to play via the Internet.

But still, there are generally accepted parameters of the tariffs for cs 1.6 that you have to choose yourself.

Average speed connection rate

rate 15000
cl_cmdrate 75
cl_updaterate 75
ex_interp 0.05

High speed connection rate

rate 25000
cl_cmdrate 101
cl_updaterate 101
cl_interp 0.01

STEAM connection rate

rate 100000
cl_cmdrate 102
cl_updaterate 102
ex_interp 0.01

Setting up accurate shooting in Counter-Strike 1.6

First, let's set the video card footage

ati_npatch "1" [def.]
ati_subdiv "2" [def.]

The default values (1 and 2) of these commands are set mainly by ATI video card owners. 0 is set on nVIDEA.
If you have these default values, then the sensation during the grip becomes an order of magnitude smaller. And if they are at "zero", then the meaning is default and you control each cartridge.

gl_polyoffset "0.1" [def.]

This command depends on the graphics card. Players with nVIDIA vidyuhi put 0.1, and with ATI they put 4.
If you put it under the card accordingly, then filming is more comfortable.

cl_corpsestay "600" [def.]

Commonly used - 600, 180, 0. Feel free to experiment, I personally use 240.
In translation, "stay of the corpse" means "preservation of the corpse", ie. with the value "0" the corpses will disappear almost immediately.
BUT this setting is also responsible for the "type" of shooting.
With a value of "600", the spread is default.
With a value of "180" the dispersion is smaller, it is easier to shoot from the eagle.
With a value of "0" the dispersion becomes even smaller, long distance shooting is more difficult, and with DGL it is very convenient to shoot.
0 - this value is used by snipers (markeloff, Fox).

cl_crosshair_size "1" [def.]

There are only three values for the crosshair size: "1" is "small", "2" is "medium", "3" is "large".
At a resolution of 640 and dyn 0, the view on the main devices turns into a small plus sign Image (Neo, Delpan).

cl_dynamiccrosshair "1" [def.]

Dynamic vision (if you squat - your vision narrows, if you jump - it expands).
With a value of "0" the viewfinder is fixed. A matter of taste.

cl_dlmax "80" "128" "512 [def.]

For the pirated version, cs: 80 and 128. For the licensed version, cs is available: 80 to 512
This setting is responsible for returning to the default view position after

m_filter "0" [def.]

The command is responsible for filtering the mouse (smoothing mouse movements).
If you set the value to "1", then the targeting becomes smoother, it is easier to shoot from the eagle.
Of all the configurations I studied, I noticed this command only from Yegor (markeloff).

hpk_maxsize "4" [def.]

There are two main values - 0 and 4. With "0" the shooting "spreads", and with 4 it is more accurate.
It's a matter of taste, for example f0rest meat and Gux use "0.001".

viewsize "120" [def.]

This is probably the most important setting for adjusting fire and spray to resolution and sphere.
The main values are 110 and 120. At 110 bullets fly from the top of the scope and at 120 from the center of the scope.
If at 120 you get AKs, at 110 you have a great clip with m4a1.
